Kittiwake Dance Theatre is delighted to offer a family friendly open-air concert series of classical and contemporary dance works by Newfoundland and Labrador’s ballet company.
Bowring Park has been a place to escape to for special events, exercise, and relaxation since its opening in 1914.
This July, escape to St. John’s Cabot 500 Amphitheatre in historic Bowring Park in the afternoon or evening, where Kittiwake dancers will premiere a new dance work Departures by Abby Rowe, the 2022-23 RBC-Kittiwake Emerging Choreographer-in-Residence and perform her Appalachian Spring. Special guest Jing Xia (guzheng) who, along with Hannah Drover, will improv. Other pieces from Kittiwake’s repertoire include Martin Vallée’s Soundscape and Amy Spector’s Alone, with the concert rounded out by excerpts from the classics – Sleeping Beauty and Carmen.

*Sales will end 1 hour before showtime. Children 5 and under are admitted for free but must have a ticket.
