Step back in time to Christmas Eve, 1943. The St. John’s Players are broadcasting from a makeshift CBC studio at the
Hotel Newfoundland and they are all set to present their contemporary ‘take’ on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
Hear Dickens’ classic like you’ve never heard it before. Watch the behind-the-scenes madness that unfolds as a ragtag group of
radio actors is joined by a revered veteran of the London stage for a live radio broadcast of the perennial favourite, A Christmas Carol.
Whatever could possibly go wrong does!
Featuring snappy songs of the season performed in the style of the times, A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol is a funny, touching,
and joyful addition to the holiday celebrations.
