Event Details:

Step into the grandeur of the season with Handel’s Messiah, performed in the breathtaking acoustics of the Basilica of St. John the Baptist on December 5 & 6, 2025 at 8:00pm. Under the baton of conductor Christopher Gaudreault, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Choir of the NSO present this timeless holiday tradition, brimming with passion, power, and Hallelujahs.

Featuring a stellar lineup of soloists—soprano Claire de Sévigné, mezzosoprano Tessa Fackelmann, tenor Angelo Moretti, and baritone Philip Addis—this performance offers both majesty and intimacy, perfect for first-time listeners and seasoned Messiah lovers alike. From the tender strains of “He Shall Feed His Flock” to the thunderous joy of the “Hallelujah” chorus, this is a concert that lifts the spirit and stirs the soul.

Presented by the Basilica Heritage Foundation, tickets are available at the ACC Box Office (709-729-3900), online at artsandculturecentre.com, and at the door.
