Take a musical trip back in time with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra at Winter Pops, January 23 & 24, 2026 at 7:30pm at the Arts & Culture Centre.

With the always-electric Martin MacDonald on the podium, the NSO dives headfirst into the unforgettable sounds of the 1970s—an era when rock ruled the airwaves, folk tugged at heartstrings, and pop redefined cool.

From the soaring power chords of Boston, to the soul-soothing harmonies of The Carpenters, the feel-good grooves of Earth, Wind & Fire, and the singalong anthems of John Denver, this concert brings together the soundtrack of a generation—complete with a little Bee Gees sparkle for good measure.
